King Pine to Open 2009/10 Winter Season with $12 Lift Tickets Friday, December 11th

East Madison, NH (November 17, 2009) – King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort kicks off the 2009/10 season on December 11, 2009 with new family events and added value for guests. The family-oriented ski resort, located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, is just 15 minutes south of Conway, NH. Ski or ride for just $12 from Noon to 7pm on Friday the 11th. A portion of the days’ proceeds will go to the Laura Mahoney Autism & Epilepsy Foundation.

Donate a retired cell phone to the “Cell Phone for Soldiers” program opening weekend and receive $2 off that days’ ticket value for each cell phone received ($4 discount per person maximum). A donation box will be set up near the Guest Services desk at King Pine.

King Pine and Purity Spring Resort Hosting Family-friendly New Year's Eve Celebration

East Madison, NH (November 17, 2009)– This New Year’s Eve, King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort invites families to ring in the New Year with an evening of skiing, riding, music and games, ending with a 9pm Torchlight Parade followed by Fireworks.

Winter Trails Day at King Pine and Purity Spring Resort

East Madison, NH (November 17, 2009) On Saturday, Jan. 9th, King Pine Ski Area and Purity Spring Resort will host Winter Trails Day from 1-3pm. The nationally-recognized Winter Trails Day offers newcomers to snow sports an opportunity to try snowshoeing or cross-country skiing free of charge.

Longest Running Ski Camp in the Country Adds a Second Week

East Madison, NH (November 17, 2009) King Pine Ski Area at Purity Spring Resort will offer its 72nd Ski and Snowboard Camp this February 2010 for boys and girls across New England.

The Ski & Snowboard Camp offers an exciting atmosphere for “ski campers” age 8-16 and provides the opportunity to learn to ski or ride in a safe and family-friendly atmosphere. Held during the February school vacation week, February 15-21, the camp continues a tradition that began long ago at Purity Spring Resort. New this year is an added second week of camp for boys and girls running February 21-26. The addition of a second week of camp allows children from across New England the opportunity to attend during different school vacation weeks.

Sled Dog Racing Returns to King Pine and Purity Spring Resort

East Madison, NH (December 1, 2009) – For the third year in a row, Purity Spring Resort and King Pine Ski Area will host the “Purity Spring Sled Dog Race Classic” on the weekend of March 6 and 7. The ISDRA sanctioned event is presented by the New England Sled Dog Club, Inc., which introduced the sport of sled dog racing to New Hampshire in 1924. The Purity Spring Classic is one of six events the NESDC will hold this season.

Purity Joins Campaign to Help Protect Forests of New Hampshire

East Madison, NH (May 21, 2009) Trees across the country are being destroyed by invasive insects and diseases moved in firewood. Danforth Bay Camping & RV Resort, The Bluffs RV Resort and its parent company Purity Spring Resort, have joined forces with the national DontMoveFirewood.org campaign to protect the trees and forests of New England by encouraging citizens not to risk transportating invasive insects and diseases in firewood.

NH Chronicle visits Purity Spring Resort

On Friday, August 8, 2008, at 7:30 pm., WMUR’s NH Chronicle will feature a segment on Mount Washington Valley’s Purity Spring Resort.

NH Chronicle, produced by WMUR-TV 9, focuses on the people, places and trends that give the Granite State its unique character. Purity Spring Resort, captures traditional summer fun in New Hampshire and has welcomed families since the early 1900’s to its lakeside resort.

Purity Spring Resort receives “Best of New England” award

EAST MADISON (May 8, 2008) – “New England Travel” magazine has named Purity Spring Resort one of 2008’s “Best of New England.”

Published annually by Boston Magazine, the New England Travel Guide provides residents and visitors to the region a list of the best lodging, dining and diversions offered by all six New England states.

East Madison’s family-owned Purity Spring Resort won the award for New Hampshire’s “Central” region, along with five other lodging establishments. “Family values prevail at this White Mountains retreat, from the warm, inviting atmosphere to the home-style fare,” the description states.

The guide further cites several unique amenities provided by the resort: “Hospitable staff, a full recreation program, and stunning natural surroundings cater superbly to group functions such as family reunions, weddings and vacation getaways.”

King Pine and Purity Spring honored with two awards

East Madison, NH (March 19, 2007) – King Pine and Purity Spring Resort received two awards this week. King Pine was nominated and voted the "Best Ski Area in the White Mountains" in a New England-based internet poll. Purity Spring Resort was awarded the “Family Friendly Business Award” by the “Valley Outreach” organization, located in North Conway, NH.
